summer sandals

blazer vintage, vest topshop, shorts h&m, shoes new look

dp's, new look, river island

time to get out the summer shoes i feel! took this outfit shot a wee while ago when i bought the shorts but never actually dared to wear it in the eyes of the public - i don't really do bare legs! more of a tights + shorts kinda gal me. i love tan shoes! hopefully get more use out of these pairs this summer. the wedges are so comfy but they make me about 6 ft tall which means giantess in the company of the small people! maybe i should invest in some tan flats...??

let them eat cake

just a few cakes i made last weekend! i was in charge of the baked goods at my sister's flat warming... it was like when phoebe from friends is put in charge of cups! i've been baking tonight as well (two birthday cakes), i really should start charging for my efforts! oh, and here's a pic of a cupcake in a cup i had at the roseleaf on friday! how cute???

'they feed me more...'

being the ultimate procrastinator that i am, i have yet to re-direct my mail. which means no vogue for me in the meantime. and im not talking this month's vogue - which stared down at me mockingly from the magazine stand today - oh no, i'm talking about last month's. siiiighhh...! so, last week when i realised that the newsagent's up the road actually stocks dazed and confused and i-D, i had to get 'em. it seems i have taken to buying more magazines than i do food these days (in true Carrie-style might i add, and where the title of this post comes from).

gin in teacups 2

went to gin in teacups 2 back home on sunday afternoon, where i was helping my friend with some modelling! it was quite cringe, especially as olivia - who was choreographing the fashion show, made me release the inner beyonce and i had to bust out some moves on the catwalk! as such, i didn't get much chance to look around the cute vintage stalls and kitsch jewellery/craft stands - and i stupidly forgot my camera, so i've cheekily stolen these pics! organising the event were the lovely girls at between the devil and the deep blue sea and edward vintage. they showed off their vintage clothes in the fashion show, along with hats and fascinators from off with her head and accessories from cissyface vintage. after i embarrassed myself on the catwalk, i quickly looked around the stalls and found a couple of old friends from school have set up shop! who would have known that so many creative people would come out of such a small town!? and then, whilst checking out a funky jewellery stall, i realised it belonged to helen of jollygood whose blog i've been following! it was so strange to meet a fellow blogger! she has also mentioned me in her post - check her out here!
